I design each session according to the audience. I don't have a single talk that I superficially adapt: the starting point is always who is going to hear it and what for.

I give talks on taxonomy, biodiversity, conservation and the natural history of phasmids for any type of audience: from primary schools to universities, museums, interpretation centres, cultural associations, public events or any other context where it makes sense. I mix rigorous science with specific field stories — that keeps any group's attention. I include high-quality visual material and live specimens whenever logistics allow.

Working with nature reserves is something I know first-hand, not just as an educator. I've done fieldwork in many of the regions where the ecolodges that contact me operate, so what I explain in a night session to guests is the same information I use in the field.

Guest Sessions

Talks about local biodiversity — focusing on the phasmids present in the reserve — combining rigorous science with accessible narrative. The idea is that people leave knowing what they were looking at when they walked through the forest, and why this reserve or ecolodge has something genuinely special.

Technical advisory for guides

I work with the guide team so they have a solid technical grounding in phasmid identification, behaviour and local ecology — the same information I use in my own fieldwork, adapted to what a guide needs in practice.

Maintaining a living phasmid collection requires specific knowledge that cannot be improvised. Generic protocols don't work well with this group — each species has its particularities, and errors in breeding have direct consequences on population viability.

Professional Handling Protocols

I design and implement customised breeding guides for each species: environmental parameters, feeding, reproduction and health management. The goal is for the keeper team to have clear, functional documentation — not a generic manual.

Species Selection

I help select the taxa that best fit each institution: visually striking, with clear outreach value, manageable in captivity and with documented conservation criteria.

Technical advisory for keepers

I advise the keeper team on species identification, safe handling and resolution of the most common problems in phasmid maintenance in captivity.

When a reserve, museum or institution needs to communicate what it has, the content needs to be scientifically accurate and accessible to a general audience at the same time. I produce specialist outreach material for institutions working with phasmids and biodiversity.

Outreach Texts

Exhibition panels, visitor species sheets, interpretation guides and texts for websites or downloadable materials. Content with taxonomic rigour and updated nomenclature, written for non-specialist audiences.

Visual Documentation

Diagnostic macro photography and high-resolution plates for outreach projects. All material is self-produced, with a clear usage licence.
